Importing Raw Production Source Audio Directly into Pro Tools
If the AAF or OMF sequence you imported into Pro Tools did not include raw production source audio, you may import it into the session separately using media supplied by the production sound mixer.
You can import monophonic or polyphonic audio files from field recorders into Pro Tools using any of the following methods:
*
Using File > Import > Audio, and selecting the files you want to import
*
Dragging files to the Clip List from the Workspace browser or the desktop (and then using the Audio Import Options dialog to place them in the Clip List)
*
In projects with large amounts of production audio, it may not be convenient to import all production audio into Pro Tools for reference. You can set Pro Tools to search for matching audio in areas outside the session when it looks for matching field recorder files. For more information, see Select Areas to Search.
